Stupid question... How far could we punch out an LS4 V8? and then attach it to a 4T80-E
I was thinking L98 bored to 403 and mated to a THM 325 Eldorado tranny................

This just in. Ben called and informed me that with a car loaded to the gills with stuff they are taking to Arizona, he averaged 32.7 miles per gallon. If I recall, the mileage prior to the exhaust we made up was about 28 miles per gallon. Not a bad improvement, even with a fully loaded car.

BlackBird... thats some fantastic MPG. Lets us know when Ben makes it out there

Don glad you see what I'm saying. The Paint and slammed suspension cost me an arm and a no good leg so my moneys gotta recharge, But can you imagine the sight of a Bonnie with twin massive chrome Holleys sitting on a high rise jutting out of the hood transversley? The thought of it makes me shiver all over. OOO yeah I'm having another vision.

He just crossed into New Mexico about 30 minutes ago. He reported a drop in mileage. 28 again. Maybe the 32 somethin was a fluke? Regardless....

He will most likely drop some more MPG until he gets through the mountains in Western NM/Eastern AZ, but will gain it back on the 1-2 hour "drop" into the Phoenix Metro area
