Saw this story on the news. Its about time they raise the speed limit. Cars are quite capable of going 80+ safely and efficiently. All there is in central Utah is cows and dirt anyway.

The only thing I worry about is if semis will be travelling at 75+. They are crazy enough as it is.

I wonder if it'* a real speed limit rather than some number that'* 15 less than the speed after which cops pull people over. :? Regardless, I can't drive 80 here without being pulled over. This is awesome news!

We generally do 90 up here, on highway 2. limit is about 70 (110km/h)
Occasionally there is a speed trap, reserved for those 100+mph drivers..which is fairly common to see

Depending on gear ratios and several other factors, most cars run more efficently at 60mph-65mph, they should reduce the speed limit to reduce fossil fuel consumption.

Na! At high speeds you get there faster so it won't matter. :P :P :P :P
