nobody has the iPhone in my area since there is no AT&T signal for 60 miles.

I would love to play with one.

I've been hearing a ton of crap about the iPhone. Sounds like a lot of people who got them are severely disappointed. Everything from seriously slow internet and Email, to horrible coverage, and big problems with dropped calls.
And of course, the biggest mistake of all, AT&T. The only reason they went with AT&T is because they were the only ones stupid enough to agree to give Apple a cut of the calls. Also they have outrageous roaming charges for data and email, yet they have no mail filters. I've heard of a $2000 bill for taking a vacation to Montreal without turning off email first...
Screw Apple. They could have turned out a truly revolutionary product that would have taken their competitors years to match, and instead they came up with a great interface for a somewhat disappointing overall package. Just get a Treo.

Your FREAKING NUTS Gonneville!! I have a treo that thing doesnt compare at all to the Iphone. I have used the Iphone alot lately and it is years above the competion. Just like Sprint t-mobile, verzion and all that they have probelms with service depending on where your at. The internet when I used it in San Deigo was super fast Literally faster than my wife'* PC Laptop. Just depends where you are at. Youtube on it is awesome!! Google maps is AWESOME! Shows you were congestion is on highways streets and all that. You cant beat it no where I dont care if its a treo my treo sucks compared to the iphone. How many times have you touched a iphone. I am guessing zero times.

yea what Vince said...

What are you talking about.. 80& of the things you have said is User Problems with dumb people or Just bad location witch you can have with ANY phone.

The iphone is totally diffrent then any other phone. and now that i have Tried one. The internet is just as fast or faster then other phones. and once you turn on the WiFi.. WOW wee is it FAST!!!

Sounds like you have something against Apple and AT&T

I get probably 4 dropped calls from Cingular/AT&T a year. I've never had a big problem, and coverage is great everywhere I go – besides Boosty'* garage.

They DID.

Not to mention the technology they used on it is patented or is pending patents.

Brian'* right about one thing. WHY THE HECK DID APPLE GO WiTH EDGE!??!?! ESPECIALLY since the iPhone can display whole web pages. This just doesn't make sense to me... AT&T is the only major provider right now that has a 3G network, and Apple just totally avoided it? The edge network is for tweens who want to download ringtones, while 3G is for people who actually wanna browse the internet.

I'll tell you what, if Apple starts to sell a 3G iPhone, I'll buy it on the spot. (when my plan ends, lmao)

EDGE is ok. But like ANY internet ona phone. The closer you are to the tower the better it works.

When i had Laptop Connect using EDGE it was pretty quick at my house sense the tower is like 1.5 miles away. but when i was like 10 miles from a tower it got slow.

G3 will be the same. and G3 is not really everywhere yet. so thats one reason why they did not go with it.

3G is available in every major city:
http://www.wireless.att.com/coverage.../popUp_3g.html
and it'* not the same. It'* known to be worlds faster than EDGE. I've compared the two myself, and the difference was very noticeable.
