the contour & mystique with the duratec under the hood are fast cars, my mystique was a fast little car, dont underestimate the duratec, you just might get smoked if you do.

god it feels wierd to even imply that a ford engine is good *shivers*

also ive driven a zetec mystique (duratec = 2.5, zetec = 2.0) believe me, the zetec is a whimp but it can give some cars a run for their money, youll still blow the doors off of it with the 3.5, even more so with the 3800

ill either see her today or wednesday, and ill probably set somethin up....her and her friends are so freakin cocky about this.

im thinkin im gonna put 20 bucks in my hat saying i win, everyone there who thinks shes gonna win can put in 10 (there should be quite a few there)...if she does win...she can give em their money back..if i win, its mine beeatches

i dont want to risk much more money than that, its not worth losing a weeks paycheck over a fluke or something...but we could all use a little extra income from time to time.

i dont really know anything about Ford'*, but i know if her car had the V6 under it, id probably not be messing with it.

well...i made what you might call an adult decision, i decided that racing her, although fun as hell, and good for my car'* rep around here....would be really stupid...

it wouldve taken place on a straight stretch of a main highway late at night, with spotters at 2 locations in cell contact the whole race...seems safe enough, but the possibility for injury...and at the speeds reached...death for sure...would definetely be there...and it would take at least 15-20 minutes for emergency help to arrive at this locale, 10 at the very fastest...

i REALLY REALLY wanted to do this, because i hate being told my car is slow, i hate when ppl with 4 bangers think their car is hella fast, and i hate backing down from a challenge.

but i talked to my best friend/girl i love and she talked me out of it, she just kinda made the risks sink in, and this is the girl who only a week or two ago i had a conversation with that we mutually agreed that if anything ever happened to either one of us you might as well just go ahead and kill the other one...and we were both dead serious...

this is hard for the ego of an 18 yr old male to do, but there are things more important than whos car is faster, some props, and money. i cant imagine killing some innocent person, or the person i was racing, or lastly myself....i really wish there was a track around here though, because itd be on like donkey kong then.

this was surprisingly a big issue for me, and i just thought id give you guys an update, it was a tough decision for me to make, and i plan to stick through it, because its the right thing to do, but it will be hard the next time i see her and the trash talkin starts up again.

so anyway, you guys can thank Ellie for making sure a BC member doesnt do something stupid, although like she said i should do it for myself, for my family, and all that other jazz....i hate it when shes right
