GOT THE JOB!!!!
350 a week at the minimum, but that'* a FRACTION of what we usually make. My hands are shaking, I can't BELIEVE my good luck. I'll be able to move out, start visiting Intense, replace my tranny, maybe even get a nicer car!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Congratulations.
Words of advice: Make sure you can separate your personal life from the job. It is the happy, attentive, presentable salesman who is open to All questions who gets the sales.
Be knowledgable, but not pushy, and make sure you can read your customer before trying to be the jokester.
Upselling is nice, but a completed sale is better. Feel them out before trying to upsell. Some people will go for it, or respectfully decline. some people will get turned off completely (rare, but happens)
Have fun with it. You are selling cars. Learn about all your models AND learn about the competing models. Know their features and what features you have that compare, or exceed those features. Know what C&D and Motortrend say about the car, as well as Edmunds, KBB, and CNNMoney. This information will be helpful when discussing the other cars. And don't use this information to be negative. You want to show you've also looked at those other vehicle and know how they compare. Gives your statements a little more weight.
Again. Have fun and have confidence. If you don't get a sale, don't let it get to you. Go out and look for the next.
Good luck and congrats again

No Bonnies right now, but there IS a GTO for 17,995!
5.7, though
Thanks everyone for your support! I know quite a bit about the new car market, so I've always known this would be right up my alley. I also know that there would be no way I could have gotten this job without the help I've gotten from my parents. For the last six months, they've helped me out emotionally and financially, and I'm very thankful for that. I will admit that I'm pretty nervous, but I know deep down I'll be fine. I know that, although stressful, this will be a very fun job to have!
Also, in case anyone is wondering, I WILL be going to school while I'm working, even though it'* full time. I've talked to a few people working there, and it seems that a good fraction of salesman are going to school at the same time. I'll be going to Columbus State, a community college, for the first 2 years. After that, who knows, I'll probably finish up my 4 year degree at a school outside of Columbus (I'm thinking either Kettering or UC), and work at a dealership part time (school will be the main priority by then). This is a big load on me, but it'* just what I need, since I've been half-assing everything ever since high school.
So now, I have to either get my tranny rebuilt or fix whatever'* wrong with it, find an apartment, and get my life together. All in less than a month. Fun fun fun...

Nissan have some pretty neat things going on right now, definetly not a bad brand to be selling now.
