yes, and cheap. check walmart also. little 4 port one. I would find out first from the videophone manufacturer if it will work this way for sure. I don't know why it wouldn't, but it is better to be safe , then spend some cash and not have it workable. walmart will allways take it back anyway.

THe guy sounds like an idiot.
All I really need is a ethernet cable because that is what the VP uses to get high speed, so sounds like a router is necessary from the last 20 minutes I've learned about computers?

I agree, it sounds like the tech you are dealing with doesn't really know his stuff.
Easiest thing to do is go to one of those sites that checks your connection speed, run the test and send him the screen shot that proves your connection is fast enough. If it isn't fast enough, you're out of luck until you get a faster connection. If it is good to go, it is just a matter of hooking all your devices together which is really not all that difficult. It may mean you need to purchase a router or an ethernet hub, but that'* no big deal, they sell those at Wal Mart.

Broadband is the term used to differentiate between high speed internet access available over a phone line, versus dial-up internet which is slower than the pony express. You should be good to go with Verizon broadband.
