I honestly had no idea that was going on with those trucks. I am sure a florida or texas truckls frame would not look like that.

My neighbor had one of these Tacoma'*, and then replaced it with a Dodge Ram 1500 not to long ago, then recently replaced that with some crappy little 4-banger sedan.

So much for the are you tough enough to drive a Tacoma Ads:

It'* looking more like the "Is your Tacoma tough enough for me?"

Unfortunate problem, Tacomas are solid trucks otherwise.

OK, heres the deal, I sell Toyotas and am the main truck guy at work. The Tacoma rotting problem is in a limited amount of vehicles. I can't recall the exact amount of years at this time but Toyota taking responsibility for the problem and reimbursing all owners of the select years with 150% of NADA value. Pretty sure I have this all correct. I have it written down somewhere. There is no problem with 2000+ Tacomas I believe and the 04+ ones kick @SS! I don't like the Toyota cars, but one thing I'll stick up for is the trucks.

correct. The 95-2000 Tacoma had frames made in the US and they did not meed quality standards. People with the trucks can take them in and have them checked. If rot is found, it will be bought back for 150% of NADA Excellent value. If it passes, there is a 15 yr warrenty on the frame.

I looked into this to buy them for profit when it first came out in march. Caught on too quickly.
