Why the link to the old thread?

This thread starts with "If it has spark" right at the beginning of Post #1. This might confuse the people of the future reading this thread, so now they have some context.

Since we're here: Why leave copies of this stuff in the old thread?

When people of the future are reading that thread they can see the where it went way back in 2021 and why it got closed.
