Yeah.... umm, just to clear it all up here...

The 8.1 is...

8128 (cubic centimeters) = 496.000992 cubic inches

Because a 502 would be

502 (cubic inches) = 8 226.30613 cubic centimeters

And my engine is...

5 328 (cubic centimeters) = 325.134509 cubic inches

Oh...and when buying headers for this thing...they ask if it has AIR and/or EGR, now I know what egr is...but I thought AIR was an emissions control system from back in the day before catalytic converters to make sure that there was no unburnt fuel in the emission.

Now besides that...I don't really care what or why its on there...but how can I tell? I know what an EGR looks like...but no idea about an AIR system.

Also..where the HELL is the RPO tag on this thing?

Oh, and is it just as important to get the dex outta this thing as it is to get it out of other GM engines?

Currently planned mods just so everyone is on the same page...in ranking order

K&N 77 Series Intake
Jet Performance Aftermarket MAF
Magnaflow Catback (and maybe high flow cats as well)
Edelbrock Ceramic Headers
Jet Stage 2 Chip (or if anyone else can recommend another way to tweak the computer to take full advantage of the above mods.)

Also some great recommendations would be if anyone knows any other great mods for these engines thanks.

AIR to me was an air injection system which usually has tubes ported into the manifolds. It will also have an air pump to feed those tubes. Something like that.
