Default Improve your Display view of text.

This is a tip I read in Maximum PC. I couldn't believe how it improved the appearance of text. I have Windows XP. I'm not sure if it is the same in Vista.

Go to Display propertieres either in Control Panel or by right clicking in an empty area on your Desktop and choosing Properties. Click the Appearance tab, Effects button, in the second drop down, choose Clear Type. Click OK.

Are you kidding? With IE7, Cleartype was on by default and gave me migraines until i learned how to disable it.

well the smaller the resolution, the less pixels are in each letter. it just blurs the edges of the pixels. the higher the resolution the better it should look.
i like it on.

I am also running 1280... I just changed it, and I can notice a difference, but I'm not sure if its helping me or not. I'll leave it like this for a while and see if my eyes start to cross.

I'm at 1280 x 1024 and it certainly improved my view, that'* why I posted it. It'* easy enough to turn off if it doesn't work on your monitor.

I'm on a pretty low res screen right now, but I'm definitely not liking it... I'll just stick to the normal setting...
