Does anyone know if you can actually play a DVD movie with and extranal vdv drive over USB1.1 ?

Hey Popatim....

Do you have a DVD Player application like WinDVD or something similar? You'll need an application like this to play the DVD.

<Doh!> I forgot about that... I've got powerdvd at home. Installed long ago and forgot Xp doesn't play them natively.

just a quick note. windows media player will play DVD'* after you install the proper codecs. i personally use the k-lite media codec pack. current version 3.29. Get the full edition.
