Environment Canada publishes the Humidex for the Canadian cities it forecasts for, there must be something the same in the US. The humidity levels have a huge impact on the comfort levels.

This morning it was about 78* but the humidity was sky high, any sort of activity outside, including walking, would induce a sweat within minutes.

Yep, the front came through Illinois today too and it was niiiiiiice... opened the windows this evening and was reminded of the Autumn months.

We Reached A Record Breaking Temperature today in B.C, 96 degrees Ferenheight and 34 degrees celcius.

Heard that from Pmom yesterday. We're going to have the same temp today.....97°, then it'* cooling down to the 80'* Sunday. We're not going a anywhere or doing anything today.

Ah Ha! Got you beat. My wireless thermo (mounted outside on a tree about 20ft from the house) shows 104*, and it'* in the shade!

Ya, its supposed to be hot, but it doesn't make it any better. As far as I can tell, the only good thing about the heat, is that when I go somewhere else, not only does it feel cooler, but I get to brag about how much hotter it is in TX.
