So...I've begun hunting for a nice '96-'99 SE in the $3000 range. I'm hoping to grab one for my daily driver so I can park the stang (use it as a weekend driver and a fun car) and have something with decent gas mileage. My goal is to have one by the summer. I miss my 97 like hell (but do not regret selling it).

Just had to get that out there .

nope, it sucks.

I also have the option of buying a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 115k from my dad'* fiance for around $2500-$3000 (book is $5,000). The mileage doesn't worry me, the 4.0L is unkillable. It'* in damn good shape, too. I may just go with the Jeep cause I know where it'* been. Unfortunately, she would often run 2,000-3,000 over oil changes and only change it cause I nagged her to. Guess if I grab it it'll be taken much better care of. I go nuts when I go 100 miles overdue.

Go Jeep, although the Grand Cherokee with th 4.0 is a little under powered IMO, but I guess it would be a fine a2b car. Like you said it is a tough motor.

But if the Bonne market sucks down there head north a bit, no shortage of Bonnes up here.

Yeah I'm probably going with the Jeep. I wouldn't say it'* underpowered, that 4.0L puts out a lot of torque. The SE bonne market is fine, it'* the SSEi bonne market that sucks.
