I live at home for now...costs me $400 bux...but its well worth it, granted my situation. BUT, face it...life is expensive

You guys can't blame oil companies, they're not at fault. Gas is the cheapest in the US because of the government. The Government pays for A LOT of our gas, so we use our cars more.

That means more suburbs cause we can drive further to work etc etc. Which is really bad. Urban Sprawl

Here...a HUGE chuck of the gas prices is taxes...to the gov't

We have been pleading for years for gas tax relief...never on any political platform.

That theory about gas costing more the further away you are from the distribution point is blown out of the water here in Halifax. Oil Tankers come directly here, offload at the refineries where it is refined (I can see it!!!). But, for some reason our gas prices right here in Halifax are substantially more than communities that are hundreds of kilometers away. Go figure?!

Supply and Demand comes into play

More ppl...more customers..more demand..higher prices, costs are ALWAYS going to be higher in urban areas.

I filled up the bonnie today at $1.63 for regular and it cost me about $18 (I still had about a 1/4 tank). The gas prices here fluctuate. The cost of living here isn't that much. I was renting a 4 bedroom on 2 acres for $400 per month. Now I bought a place of my own. Things here aren't as expensive.
