Get the newer car. She does not need to get stranded in that other car when the tranny decided to completly die.

Safety is key! If she gets stranded somewhere it your ***! Women hate more than anything to get stranded and you never know what kind of scary guys will come along (trust me!). If a guy gets stranded he isn't as concerned.

Since it sounds like you are throwing more money into the cavi than it'* worth I vote upgrade and then in a few years buy the bonne you want. That way you both will get something you want and you know she will be safe.
