Default If it couldn't be a Bonneville...

Alight...pretend a moment. The horrer of horrers...GM discontinues the Bonneville line and you need to find a new car to drive.

What would it be?

For me, a Mercedes E class...the one that does 0-100 in 4.7 seconds.

that spec you were reading was in Km/h not MPH... sry to disapoint you but 0-100 Km/h is only 0-62 MPH...
Oh, I know...but it was just fun to type. 0-100 in 4.7...0-100 in 4.7...it'* just a happy thing to do.

I occasionally throw the kilometers switch just to see 3 digits in the HUD...a safer way to say "Yeah, I was doing 130 the other day..."

I'm still ticked that myfather has had the car up higher than I have...

I would get a fully restored GN, or a GTP.

Realistically I would go get a Grand Prix GTP. Not hard choice, SAME CAR!

I keep telling you that you need to relax with the new car (side note to everyone else: he'd drive like a maniac in the old one...now he'* terrified he'* gonna hurt it ). I miss the days where I'd go into "fight or flight" when you hit the gas!!!

And anyway, you've had it up to 106, and your Dad has hit 110...oooooooooooh ; just drive the way you want to.

...on second thought...you'd better drive the way I want, just to be safe. :P

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but we test drove a brand new 2003 Lincoln LS V8...it sucked!!! We were very dissappointed. For a car that costs that much money, it has wierd sounds, rattles, and wind noise. The inside feels pretty posh...until you realise how plasicky it is. The body styling is nice, and the engine is pretty powerful, but the Bonneville we ended up getting (though 3 years older and used) blew it out of the water in every respect.

That car was a strong consideration when we went car hunting, but as soon as we drove it, it dropped out of the running. Of course, maybe you'll have a different experience.
