Default IE7 = JUNK

IE7 is seriously a POS. I installed it, tried it for about 20 minutes, and uninstalled it.

What a piece of crap browser.

Why would you use anything but Mozilla Firefox?

I have a surefire solution....

1. Take PC and throw out window, feel free to run over, smash, burn, or give to the stupid kid down the street.
2. Buy a new Apple, install latest updates, install Firefox, and be a happy camper with no viruses or spyware.

I agree that IE7 is junk. After installing the first version of it at work and having it mess up the computer, I have never installed it again. when I do updates now it'll ask if I want to update IE, but I just check the box that say "Don't ask me again" and never install it. It is very bloated and includes many extra tool bars that are unnecessary.

Stick with IE6 or firefox and you shouldn't have any problems. I actually use both because there are still some websites that are just written for IE and show up funny, but I would say that'* less than 1% of the ones I've come across.

Oh, and for the mac-boy suggestion, that'd be like selling your bonneville and buying a new mercedes just cause your tire is flat. This isn't a MAC vs. PC thing, especially when you can get firefox on BOTH. No where did he say the computer crapped out, so I would think your comments would be off topic in this case.

And yes, I do own both. Yes, I've crashed both. Yes, firefox works the same on both.

IE 7 is what caused me to switch to Firefox.

I really like the extra features, but IE kept crashing and what not.

Someone told me that is what Firefox is, minus the crashing.

Now I HATE having to use IE.

Ya, getting a Mac isn't a choice. This is a work laptop. PCs are the standard. I am free to use whatever browser I want.

I have Firefox, but don't use it as often...unless I'm doing application testing.
