The storm, which has hit the state of Oklahoma hardest, has been blamed for the deaths of at least 22 people.

Up to 800,000 homes and businesses have been left without electricity after icy winds toppled power lines and trees.

Further ice storms are forecast for parts of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.

Ice up to 1in (2.5cm) thick coated parts of Oklahoma and Missouri on Monday, where states of emergency have been declared.

About an inch of ice was expected over parts of Iowa on Tuesday, followed by up to 5in (12.7cm) of sleet and snow.
Hmm, weather is fine here. Just cold.

It was 33 here so there was little ice.

But it so damn slushy. if it was all coke I'd be i heaven right now.

We were supposed to get an uberstorm here in Kansas City.

We got a bunch of rain, the trees iced up , and that was about it.
