I've only seen it once. Glad to say I saw it in a theatre... I didn't see Two Towers (borrowed the extened edition from a friend) until three days before Return Of The King came out in theatres.
Anyhow, Return of The King was 'friggin cool'.
I say we get a petition going and send it to J. R. R. Tolkien and demand an encore -hehe. Does anyone know how to reach him these days?

i saw it again for the second time tonight...half way through there was a fire alarm and we had to leave. The fire turned out to be outside the building so we went back in a finished the movie (after they gave us free movie passes and refills on drinks). it was kind of nice to have a pee break half-way through the movie without missing anything.
