Moving isn't always an easy decision. You need to think of your priorities and what is important to you. I am pretty adventurous and have picked up and moved over 500 miles from family and friends twice now. I don't really regret doing either move. I might have a few more moves in store for me- ya never know what the future holds.

Family is important and the chance at a great career is worth looking into. You just have to talk with your wife and discuss the pro's and con's of moving. Come to an agreement that if you go and don't like it after a year you will come back. Nothing ventured, nothing gained ;) Ultimately the choice is yours and your friends here support you regardless of what you choose. :D

her family will never move here. we had to drag her dad here just to come to the wedding. he hates the mainland. he says were all rude. lol in my eyes the only family im gonna miss are my mom and dad. i have all my family here in michigan and i never see them much now. my dads all cool with it cuz he can afford to fly to see me. my mother cant and i even offered to pay half her ticket and she still came up with some excuse.

one that bonneville police car, hawaii police get to use their own cars for police cars, the state gives them money for maintance and to help pay for loan. well u see ALOT of fast cop cars really sweet ones too. cobras, gt, trans am, z28 and other sweet imports also etc... only the rookies have cop cars. u can tell them apart from normal car cuz they have a blue light on the roof at all times. except for the undercover guys u can tell them apart until they get out of the cars, cuz the have a lower tint rules. i tryed getting a pic of the bonne police car but i couldnt get the camara out in time. just picture a grey 00+ se with a single blue light on top.

If a career is important to your 'being' then I'd say you have to give it a shot. You've already said opportunity sure isn't knocking in MI.

Getting the Bonnie to Hawaii will cost about $1500 and about $4000 to bring back (odd isn't it); which is another aspect to consider; but it sure would make a good family car, very safe and plenty of power, but it would lack in the mpg dept compared to the smaller cars And the limited highways over there. I would say store it here if you can afford it for a few months just to be sure your not going to hate it there and then sell it once you feel comfortable there; otherwise sell it before you go.

Just my $.02
