i need your opinion!

well some of u mayor not( probly not) know i was in hawaii recently well my wife is from hawaii so she really wants to move back home. well it cost alot just to live in hawaii well i got offered a really nice job and in my eyes its a foot in the door for the potentially high paying job. well here is my problem, my family is in michigan hers is in hawaii( all but here aunt) anyways its either i give up seeing my family as much or she does? what would u all do? also what to do with my car. when i was their i only saw 4 bonnevilles total and i drove around alot. one was a 00+ seei other was a silver 00+ se and it was a police car, one 96-99 sse, one 92-95 se. well if i were to bring my car it would be very out numbered by imports. also we all know bonneville dont turn the best in the world so parking would downtown would be very hard being that all the spot are much slimer then the ones here on the mainland. i dunno what to do. o yeah the job was offered to me by the co owner of the company, my step father in law. if that matters.

Well Hawaii is paradise but like you said, it's expensive. I would rather stay in the mainland if you ask me. You can only go so far on Hawaii but on the mainland, you can go anywhere but it's up to you.

yeah im cool with staying here and now that my wife and i want a baby she want her family near.

I say screw MI and the cold arse winters.....

Hawaii is no paradise. After the first week or two, it's a PITA.

L27Buick 10-13-2006 10:55 PM

belive me we both know. traffic is a pita. but im taking it as a foot in the door for a career that i havent had the option to have here.

Go Jim, make the best of it. if in say a year it doesnt work out and you both agree
then you can come back.

oh and take the car. Be different. ;)

Sometimes you just have to take a chance... but then again, it depends upon what is important to you. You can talk yourself into and out of moving. I know... I did it in 97 when my hubby and I packed up our four kids and moved to Arizona (from NY). We loved it and hated it at the same time... 2 yrs later, ended up moving back. The jobs were totally awesome there compared to WNY....but we missed our family and the Small Town USA culture.

But...the moral of the story is... I never regretted moving....I affectionately call it my "working vacation" years. Sometimes you have to sow your oats and be adventurous. But then again, it's expensive as hell to do so....so you have to be willing to give up as much as you gain.

Sort of like a Life Deal or No Deal! ;)
