Default i need a new video card

right now im running a GeForce 4 MX 420, it handles everything i throw at it, but not as well as i would like. i saw some screenies from NFS:Underground on the internet today and they looked NOTHING like the NFS:Underground i play. the kicker is i can only go PCI, cause my computer doesnt have an AGP port. so what kind of cards can i get? i found the Radeon 9200se and GeForce FX 5200 on newegg for reasonable prices. anyone have any eperience with these cards? i wanna be able to kick in some of the goodies with NFS:Underground and Morrowind and even Call of Duty.thanks for the input.

after some research it seems the FX 5200 is superior but what do you guys think?

The 5200 should support NFSU. It'* not the greatest card in the world, but a great all around kind of card.

I'd personally get the Radeons over the GFFX right now. In all actuality, a used 4200 or so would be better, cept DX9 stuff.

Nvidia has a lot of PCI cards though, and the drivers make it easy to install.

the PCI slot is going to hold you back preaty much no matter what card you get. upgrade your mother board and get an AGP card.

I just bought the gigabyte Nvidia fx5700. Its a really really really excellent card. Came with three full games, tomb raider, rainbow six, and will rock. it was $150 at newegg. You probably dont want to spend that much though right?

i think i might get the FX 5200, its Directx 9 compatible whereas the 9200se is only 8.1, and i like the easyness of drivers with the Nvidia cards.i wanna be able to turn on some of those goodies, i guess i could start with turnin everything up to high. but it might be really slow. it stalls for just a sec from time to time while playin NFSU as it is. thanks for the input though. i think ill add a video card to my list of things to buy. that list is growing every day.
