Alright...I just bought a 1992 Cadillac DeVille...TODAY... and the think HAD a rod knock... it was "fixed", but thats not the issue... the thing is... When i turn the car off, there is a growling noise coming from the engine bay and I think it is the Auto suspen. leveling ..if it has it, but it goes on...then off...then on again...then off...then on again...The BAtt is gonna die,huh? Its either that...or the Batt is old and I need a new alternator... Please help me you guys.. its my girls car and i want her to be safe and i want her to not be left on the side of the road.

Since it occurs after you turn off the key....get in there and find out what'* making the noise. Stop giving us ...what'cha think and go find out.

Well..it will be electrical and have power after the car is turned off. Doesn't leave a lot as you believe.

Until 96 Pontiac gave the air compressor for ELC in the Bonne'* power all the time and they later became a pain point that GM fixed up. Maybe you are correct and the Caddy is the same.

Either that...or the horses under the hood are hungry and need a feeding.

LOL That is funny...thanks i needed the laugh... I do need to add an additive to the oil though cuz it had a knock and i have to baby the car with 20w-50 oil and add an additive to make it super thick. I have to check where the motor for the suspension thingy is.mmor its the horsies...

Oh...and when i turned it off...i heard a Gurggling sound also for a while...sounded like coolant going...in...somewhere... :? I thought Caddys were supposed to be good cars...

Do it as soon you can. If it is going to kill the battery, it'd really suck to end up with her starnded. For her, and for you when she'* get'* ahold of you afterwards...
