So the Regal might be nice too. 102 cubic feet of space...just 2 feet behind the bonnie...and in third place if you count my lesabre.

What exactly are you looking for?

Space? Power? Reliability? Handling? Fuel econ?


If you are looking for space, don't pay too much attention to the stats online.

Coming from a Bonnie to a GTP, it wasn't much of a change. The GTP is only slightly smaller, and the trunk holds just as much stuff.

Personally, I wouldn't get another GP . I have a 98 SSEi & my wife has a 00 GPGT. She got it with 45K on it , it now has 80K . The GP has already accumilated between $5-6K in repairs (new steering rack, front axle snapped in half, A/C blower wouldn't shut off, etc). Luckily, we have an extended warranty and it covers just about everything (and only costs $50 a visit) . The car looks good , does great in the snoe & gets decent fuel mileage. The GP seems to fall apart after 60K , and there are a bunch of rattles. My SSEi at 130K is built so much better then the GP.
Her sister has a 01 GPGT . Hers is around 145K (bought it around 40K)and it is just falling apart(literally). Ground effects are loose, ABS light is always on , rattles , etc.

sol, i am not willing to sacrifice interior room too much...i definitely want forced induction...but i don't think the GTP is going to get me brownie points with the boyz in blue. the way i drive...i pm'ed bob and mentioned that i am also looking seriously at a REGAL GS */c. i've joined and browsed the regalgs.org forum the last few days...and i am liking what i am seeing. and someone there is willing to hook me up with a full H.I.D. kit for a regal for $500 canadian. just my thoughts...i have been known to be wrong...

Scott..check interior space bonne vs Regal..I think there'* a significant difference.

Regal is a good choice. It'* still a W-body, so you still have the wide aftermarket for suspension components and such.

i did...the regal is 2 cubic feet less than the bonnie:

BONNIE: 2,939 (interior volume in liters)
REGAL: 2,883

56 is a small difference. I doubt i will notice it. besides, if i ever get wide, i have more hip room up front with the regal than the bonnie by the way, i weigh 162 right now! my all -time heaviest weight!!

Sol, i couldn't agree more. check out regalgs.org...and you'll see some pretty nice 1/4 mile times there.
