My IBM Thinkpad lost the space key and the * key. Bought a used KB on ebay that looked brand new for like ten bux shipped lol. Keyboard are typically not hard to replace at all. I know my Compaq (same as HP) notebook has a service guide located on their website, and actually gives pretty precise directions on replacement. Surprising to me... considering they would rather not let me, an authorized service technician for HP @ Staples, replace anything more than a stick of RAM lol.
