The current Phenoms are quad core, 9000 series.
The Triple core are also going to be named Phenom'* but they will be the 8000 series.
The triple cores were due to be released to OEMs (Hp, Dell) in late march but so far none that I know of have appeared and there is no press release saything they were shipped out on AMD'* part and last I heard rumored was 2nd quarter of this year. Thats why I asked about when xDRx actually gets his because as far as I know its not oout yet and NO Newegg nor Pricewatch have any. Heck even tomshardware hasn't received a review sample yet; I expect to see them with one by the end of next month thou.

Remember I bought it for $999 When it was a todays Special. Main clincher was the TV tuner and the 22 inch HD LCD monitor. Plus the fact I can record shows onto the hard drive so I don't need a DVR. I'm kinda hoping a Re-boot disc comes so I can clear the hard drive of the bloatware sent by Gateway. (I've heard BAD stories of WildTagnet)
