today i have learned how to install a 220v line for my dryer in my basement. i watched my uncle do it for years and today i finaly did it...WOW i cant believe today i actuall did it.. o.k first i went to home depot and bought 35 feet of 10 awg copper 600 volt wire. which had 2 hots 1 neutral and 1 ground. then i bought a 220 single outlet for a dryer with 3 prong connection and then i bought some clamps to make sure the wire dont get pulled out of the breaker box or the outlet..
i only spent a total of $86.38 mind you i alos bought 5 tubes of kitchen and bath silicone for another project..
but im completely confident now that there aint a single thing that i cant do....
i called several electricians and got quoted $399 to $600 to run a 220v line..from one side of the basement thru 2 walls in the ceiling and then down the wall next to the washer ..
wow it feels good to know that i dont need to call anyone anymore to fix or repair or build anything.... wow i think i might look into going to become an licensed electrician... there pay is outrageous........

Interesting.
I might like that, except I am the only one that brings in income.
The wife is a stay at home mom.
Pretty much anything left after bills and groceries goes to the kids.
