OLD urban legend. They don't check forums. It was a ploy to scare people and prevent them from doing too many Carfaxes.

If you wanted to do more for people you could PM the results... then there not out there for the world ( or even us) to see... But I would narrow it down to people seriously looking to buy a car. I say this while extrememely Curious to know if my car even would show me as another owner ( I bought it here in Germany) but I am thinking of getting my own account anyways

I never *had* a chance to run one when I bought mine, and the dealer didn't do one for me.
