My xbox took a dump on me like two years ago. Appearantly, it took a shock somewhere and it wouldnt turn on anymore. And i had about 100 songs on there that i diddnt have on cd anymore...I was Super sad. I havnt bought another console ever since. I dont need it...Im too busy working. It would just be a waste of money for me.

This is what happens when you send a 360 to get get repaired by M$.

They WILL send you a referb back t hat will more than likely brake in 3 -6 months. If you want this to stop happening, call them and bitch as a rep. More often or not they will ether A. give you a bran-spanking new 360 or B. Give you some Microsoft points for you problems or even sometimes they will do C. Give you a few free games. So even if you have to keep sending in a 360 you should get a nice bundle of Microsoft points, or a few free games for taking 10 min to complain to CS.

Another thing with 360'*, heat is there number 1 enemy. Im still on my first 360. I have it sitting on a USB powered laptop cooler ( you can plug it right into the usb port on the back of the 360). Also i have one of those Nycon(sp?) intercoolers. With the intercoolers however, make sure they are on tight, or you might fry your 360. With these 2 heat reduction devices i can run my 360 for 12 hours + without incident. Without them however, my 360 will crash ever 2 -4 hours!

Also, try not to put the 360 in a cubby hole, I.E. an entertainment stand. They need room to breath. Its a good idea to put the "power block" on a cool flat surface as well. As like most electronic devices, when they heat up they start putting out funky power and believe me, that power brick gets HOT!

I've played the Wii before... its cool, but the novelty wares off fast for me. the motion on the control can't keep up with me sometimes and it becomes very frustrating.

Okay, long story, but funny...

My brother buys both an XBox and a PS2 (this is like, 4 years ago). The XBox is new, the PS2 was used.

The PS2 constantly has disc reading issues. The XBox suddenly just died one day, no error, no warning, just poof. Now of course, Microsoft warranties the XBox for up to what.. 6 months standard? All I know is, the system was brand new and of course it stops working just about 1-2 months after its out of warranty. Microsoft of course says that they will not replace it, but if they send it in they'll either repair it or send him a refurbished one for $99.95 plus *+H. My dad tells them to go to hell.

Next thing you know, my parents house gets robbed my kids. They took the now broken XBox, and a now non-functioning PS2, along with all the game cases. They left all the cords, controllers, everything else basically.

The Funny Part:
My brother NEVER keeps his games in their cases. They were all totally EMPTY. He had all his games stored in disc cases somewhere else and neither system worked. Hope those kids enjoy their loot!

Now, thanks to insurance, my brother has a refurbished XBox and PS2, both of which have worked beautifully, with never a problem for over 2-3 years. Crazy, eh? I guess the only good XBox is an ex-XBox.

I enjoy video games that get me a little more involved, hence my purchase of the Wii. Love the damn thing.
