i was going to my grandparents house to see them and to visit my mom and i was going into their town when i see a cop and i wasnt speeding but i saw her put her seat belt on and she pulled me over for my tint!!! i only have 35% on my front windows and i see cars everyday much darker and ive had mine for 4 years and never had a problem untill today. well i have to it taken off and have them sign it and bring to the police dept and ill be all clear. sorry i just had to rant has anyone else had a problem with their tint

I knew this, and I know some people who have had this problem. What needs to happen is you need to get tint that is 50% or higher. The rear windows it doesn't matter. I guess those are the "perks" of living in michigan. I know I am going for 50% in the front windows, and windsheild, along with 25% on the rears, and back window. That way the front looks even lighter

Sorry to hear that L27. I've got 35% all around, which is legal in Ontario. You guys have strict laws south of the boarder. It is near the end of the month, maybe the cop was trying to get her ticket quota....

The previous owner of my car has been pulled over for the tint, and as you can see in the sig, the rear'* are dark stuff... I don't think Ontario has a limit on those.

The front side windows are lighter than that, but still iffy, and if anything, are borderline-illegal... somewhere around 35%, i guess.

i had 20% on the lumina, and got pulled over cuz he couldnt nail me for anything else. i got 20% on the rear of the bonne, and 35% up front, no problems yet, and it looks really dark with the black paint

You Are lucky to only have to remove the tint. In Maryland you have to remobve the tint and there is a $250 fine as well.

Yep, techincally in Michy any after market tint on the front windows is illegal, unless its a strip. It kinda stinks, my car would look sweet with all around dark tint...ah well...

Ack, and to think I want to put 15% on by rears and 35% up front.

Excluding a visor strip, tint on the front window is illegal in all 50 states.
