i got a custom intake today :) did one for my buddy too.

it looks great, and i will post pics after work, but i used 8 foot of alum/pvc dryer duct, and two zip ties, along with a sawzall and various screwdrivers.... i think it looks great. it definatly sounds way better than stock, it got me a little louder, along with the fact that i think the intake noise has dropped a full octave. wow, it really sounds great, it'* got this bellow from 2k RPM up that is just insane and reminds me of a 350 with cut outs. it even seems to have added a nice lope to the engine. i've never been so impressed with $9
On my buddy'* 96 metro sedan i had to disassemble alot of the front of the car, even remove the bumper, but we got 6 foot of 2 3/4 pvc tubing in there, and the sound difference is just insane. a car that used to make this high pitched sqweak nows bellows too... i think it has some thing to do with the length of the custom intake, he revs faster, and can throw your head back a little more...
