I got the bug, only for the xploder...
talk to highlander about modding. Last weekend his wifes explorer got new exhaust. The stock manifolds are horrible. Ok..they suck to the Nth degree time PI.
I've never seen such a bad setup.

Got a '97 Xploder w/181K miles. Mods include: K&N breather, Accel coil packs w/ BlueMax plug wires and Bosch Platinum plugs, Ford Racing "shorty" headers, new OEM cats (all 4), Walker cat-back exhaust, Power Stop cross-drilled rotors (front & rear) w/Hawk performance ceramic pads, brake system completely flushed of old dirty fluid and replaced w/synthetic fluid, Hyper White high & low beams, halogen driving/fogs and instument cluster clear bulbs replaced w/blue bulbs.
If you're going to mod it up get the mechnicals done first.

How reliable is it though now that you've done all of that?
I fully expect to get another 5 years and/or 70K miles out of it. I'll get some nice cosmetic upgrades for her vehicle next year but the mechanicals had to be taken care of first.
