I detest self checkouts!
Who else agrees? Customer service anywhere has taken a BIG dive since these became popular. Whose bright idea was this to lose touch with the customer by using these things?

So far I'm pretty indifferent, when I go to the grocery store its sometimes nicer to deal with a sweet talking machine then a bratty 16 year old girl with to much makeup and a bolt thru her nose or something :roll: |
Some aren't so bad. Especially if you are in a rotten mood and don't want to talk to anyone.

They put em in here at both super walmarts and the new super target has em, the kmart too. we've got 24 of them now. I hate them.

I went to a Walmart in Syracuse two weeks ago to buy socks (shaddap!)
Anyway, I used the express humanless checkout, and there was a woman standing behind a checkout station watching over the machine, in case something went wrong or whatever. Its seemed pretty ineffiecient to have to pay someone to watch idiots use an idiot box But what do I know :P |

Whats wrong with cheap socks? I have mastered the self checkout machines at Meijer. I can be outta there in 30 seconds with a couple items, 1 minute with more.
