Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

I certainly don't deserve it.... but thank you!

Disaster strikes! It seems that when removing the wheel bearing, the assembly broke in half on the way out. I would say ouch.... Sorry, Ben :(

I have a new appreciation for our members in the rust belt. Water and road salts are NOT a good thing

Anyways. After fighting each bolt for what seemed to be at least 1/2 hour per bolt, we are at the point of lifting the motor out. Going to be heading down shortly forday #2.

Here are a couple of teaser pics from day 1

Crappy day for working on cars. 52* (yes, thats cold here in AZ) and rain

They are replacing the rear cover gasket, rear main seal, took some talking but Ben is gonna do the cam timing. He feels it was taking longer than it should and wants to skip some steps. Leaving the cam timing advanced like it is removes some purpose of the higher stall TC.

I just talked to these yahoos... They are moving along.. things always take longer than expected.... that'* 100% normal.

I'm still not sure why bearings were removed to remove the axles out. It'* unnecessary on bonnes

They are looking at the cam timing now. I think they are quite capable after getting the confirmation on what was needing to be done. I look forward to the finish!
