Default I bought a corolla for my daily driver..

And I actually like it... Its a manual five speed with a 1.4 liter engine. I kind of got caught up in the fast and furious scheme of things with the little ricer.. Its a rusty little car but i may end up painting and putting some nice wheels on it, then doing some minor engine work.. I may just put the coffee can exhaust on it.. Please dont ride me to hard on this one..

Just leave it stock and put any potential mod money into making it run right... or the Bonneville.

Corollas in the past couple decades (at least) never came with a 1.4L motor. What year is it? It most likely has either a 1.6 or 1.8.

its a 1990 with the 1.6, nothing is wrong with the bonneville I just needed a car to get to work cheaply without racking miles up on the SSEI.

I imagine the extra fuel mileage in the city doesn't hurt either.

OOOO the ol' 4a..

I had an 88 nova (Corolla with a bowtie), 5 speed with one of them, no tach sadly, so it was hard to wring it'* neck.

It'* fun to drive, mine was Carb'd so it loved to rev at any hint of throttle, fun to drive, needed a stiffer spring rate, it rolled way too much, but it was pretty dependable.
