This maybe simplistic and overkill but....

We've spent a butt load of money on this war.
I say we give the terrorists an ultimatium.
We have how may thousands of nukes stockpiled....
The next time a civilian is taken prisoner or killed we target a city in the middle east an let one rip.
Then maybe the towlhead govt'* and people would start giving these people up.
Extreme, but we are dealing with an extremist culture.

Conventional tactics are not going to work here.
Does anyone remember when war was war and all this collateral crap didn't exist.
War is messy, war is brutal, I feel for the conditions most of those people live in.
But when it all comes down to it, they have the ability to change what goes on in their countries, they just need to stand up and do it.

Now that I've vented on to bigger things.

That won't work on people who believe suicide is a good method to attack people. They don't value their own life. They would probably welcome it just to bring more attention to their cause, and prove that America is evil (in their minds).

It'* a very tough situation.

Absolutely true. You kill these people, they become hailed as martyrs. You kill others in retaliation, you prove their point.

I know it'* a no-win situation, but we can't just sit around and let the civi'* (or the military) be left out for slaughter. As long as those idiots think we won't come for them (or our people) they will continue this BS.

The Marine corps code of no man gets left behind should apply to the civiliam population as well as their comrades in arms.

As far as them being martyrs, they already think they are.... so we are going to have to fight fire with fire. I know being the bad guy isn't what we want, but this has to be put to rest quickly (the whole thing, not just the hostage situation).

What ever means it takes someone better get on it or it'* just going to mushroom.
What would you do if your loved was taken hostage, say it happened here on domestic soil. You and dozens of others would be out for blood and you know it.
And if the Iraqi people don't want us, by all means pull out. Let them rot with the next dictator and see how bad they start screaming for help, then tell them sorry, you had your chance and you blew it.

If we are going to go in we need to go in full and clean house, not just kick the dust under the carpet.

You see where this is all leading, don't you?

One day, we are all going to wake up and look at the morning paper, and all churches will have been bulldozed. The UN in conjunction with several supporting countries will determine that religion is the cause of all wars and say, "That'* it. We end religion, we end wars. Peace and security!!"

Then the world'* economy will drop out the bottom.....

What the hell are you talking about, religion and economics have nothing to do with each other. And yes by the way, go study your history lessons, more atrosities have been committed in the name of the church and god than anything else (I'm talking on a large and small scale).

Yes modern man has a silly obsession with greed (i.e. oil, gas), that'* one reason why we are here, we are obssed with our beauty Bonnies (off topic I know, but apropo).

I think it'* great we got Saddam out of there, but we need to find better meathods for this "War on Terror".

And by the way, we all need to a have a more personal spiritual life and not this in our face public religion crap.

I believe you are correct on this one. In fact, if you read Revelations you will see everything falling into place as stated. All these things have to come to pass before the Rapture can take place. I believe it is just a matter of time before these things are fulfilled. We had an in depth study of Revelations at Church and went verse by verse.

Are you daft?? "Separation of church and state" are only words. They are in no way "separate". Religion has its hands so far into commerce and big business it'* not even funny!!

BTW, I'm not speaking "religion crap". But more along the lines of "reality"...

Okay, I want to apologize if the above sounded "preachy". I certainly did not intend for it to be. I just wanted to point out that this latest war has alot of people sick and tired, and willing to give up even religion to make it stop. That'* our poeple over there getting killed because of some religious extremists, and my above point has everything to do with that.

Please continue with your regularly scheduled program... :P
