I went and played Airsoft with my kid today. Kind of an early birthday present, or a means for him to rub my nose in it.

But, I am definitely getting too old to be out running through the woods shooting at people. After the first round, I was winded. By round 5, it was time for me to sit it out. I was cold, tired, my knees hurt, and I had had all the fun I could handle for one day. I did manage to get one kill in five rounds, though. I, of course, was killed everytime. Towards the end, grategully killed.

But it was a blast. Sure brought back some memories of doing that stuff for a living. And it was a pretty good group of guys. No whiners or cheaters. Just a binch of us ranging in age from probably about 12 or 13 all the way up to damn near 40.

Next summer, some of MN area folks should see about getting in on a game. I think I'll referee though...

Try counter-strike or quake or BF1942..all virtual airsofts up to 64 people and the only thing your going to get is possible a hand cramp Who needs this outdoor air fun stuff.

Totally different when you're doing it outside, then the guys who have horrid computers on their end aren't lagging (e.g. impossible to hit) accross your screen..

Playing outside i'd be the guy horribly lagging....need more exercise....ugh....
