I just walked in the door from delivering a load to Orlando, Florida. Nice ride but a lot of hell came with it. Don, I don't dee how you stay there. Its HOT!!!!. Hehe. I am glad to be back in Chicago.

Nope. Not at all. I found out a day earlier that the storm was headed north of South Carolina. That was a relief.

I haven't drove the car yet. Still tired. Driving a truck in high wind conditions very on the weight of the truck.

We have trailers blown over all the time on I-70. Damn Kansas wind.

ruckers have common sense, but for the most part, some don't use them. They should know if they are light and under windy conditions they should park the truck. If the truck has a heavy load like 35,000lbs to 50,000lbs (depending on what type of tandems you have) you can ride the highway. Not in a hurricane though. It can maintain a 45mph wind with no problem.

I know around here, especially in the spring or fall, we have sustained winds of 50-55 mph, with gusts to 75. Normal here. I hate it.
