Good point DJ. I can understand people'* spelling mistakes, but some people really need to use punctuation. Sometimes I don't even bother to finish reading posts that lack any kind of punctuation. It drives me crazy! I guess I can be anal, but I'm one of those guys who goes back and edits his post 3 times to get it worded how I want or if I forget stuff I wanted to say .

That'* sorta one of dem dere run-off, run up, errr run on sentances

I think a problem is some people are pretty lax in their lingual skills due to their area, country, heritage, and it shows online.

That would be whatcha call "trying", and it counts a lot more than you'd think (in my opinion anyway).

I tend to purposely misspell words at times (see "whatcha") to make it read more like I talk. And I know I make my fair share of typo'*. But it does kind of bug me a little to see what looks like (to me, of course) someone who isn't even trying.

IMO if its such a big issue why not add a spell checker? I too make spelling mistakes, but try to go back and correct them. Other times, I wish I had a spell checker so I dont have to check and recheck the post.

I thought I was the only one who did that. *calls therapist and cancels appointment*

I'm OK with occasional typos, not being sure how to spell 'pneumatic', and using slang or typing like we speak (e.g. prolly, whatcha, etc.), but I have trouble when someone'* just being lazy (or typing like they're on a cell phone)

An' ya know what else gives me a major beak? Wrong use of words that sound the same. 'They're' and 'their' I can deal with, but something like this: "I punched a whole in the door." grates on me like fingernails on a chalkboard. It'* HOLE, dadnabbit! But that'* why I'm commander-in-chief of the anal grammer users group. *calls therapist and reschedules appointment*

Don't any o' y'all take any of this personally, I'm just generalizing here!

Their, there, they're, Sometimes I will rephrase a whole sentence just to avoid using those 3 words. I never know which one to use Man I hate them.

I kill people on a daily basis because of this. I have NO patience for starting posts appearing to be written by a 7 year old, I just leave and die a little inside...
