so now we cant give out Biz cards because it isn't true anymore :?
for the several members that keep PM'ing me I will not post here, but please post it.

Look at it this way guys, without Jeff this site would not be here, it would probably never exist. Jeff has put thousands into this site over the last few years with no help, no sponsers, nothing.

Let me repeat that in case your beer counter is where mine is tonight.

Jeff has put thousands into this site over the last few years with no help, no sponsers, nothing.

Therfore we owe him, Straight up, I feel we can raise enough to pay him back and continue to keep the site running. So farwith just 4 out of the 6,147 members we have already raised over $100. 10 times that goes a long way for a place like this.

wasnt good planning IMO. I know this was a business thing, but it could have been talked over with the club to see if donations would cover it.
a VARY BIG X2 on that one man!!!!!!!!!

why didn't a pull from Jeff get made of from a Admin to see if BC family just alone could do it for a year, i know everyone here can aford like $2-5 a year, and if we get even 1000 to do so its $2,000-5,000$$$ thats ALOT

Okay this is so wrong on so many levels......First and foremost this topic has been done to death over the past few days. ENOUGH!! Plus the whole quoting several people, um that was dealt with before. We have enough to deal with. The ads are staying, get over it, this IS Jeff'* site and he can do whatever he pleases.

Consider this a warning folks....PMom is becoming more and more frustrated with this!

I was PM'd to this topic. I (and the other two Admins, as well as our Senior Moderator) have a much clearer picture of what goes on behind the scenes here.

Take it from me, the ads are necessary, we're not changing hosting, the ads aren't going away, and our site will go on.

If you want to help, wait for the voluntary contributions to be released. If that'* successful enough, Jeff may at that time choose to turn the ads off. It'* HIS decision. He did not make this decision on a whim without investigating all other options.

Take heart in the fact that we are not SPONSORED by a Vendor that we would owe allegiance to. That'* where car Forums run into problems.

Don't like the ads? Ignore them.

Good lock, Pmom.

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...56499&start=40

Read my last comments on the topic.

This is the end of the discussion. The Site Owner, who we all owe DEARLY for our community has made a decision for some very specific reasons most members are not privy to, and will not be unless he chooses to share.

Time to move on, folks. Jeff has insured our stability and existence for some time to come.
