Default How much oil do you store in your garage?

I became an oil hoarder. Having six vehicles, seemed I was always buying oil and it was costing a pretty penny. I started to shop for and collect oil that was being discontinued by a retailer. I would only purchase oil that was 80 percent or more off retail. This is my current hoard.

All I can say is when it comes to oil changes, you can shelter in place, or avoid the general public for a very, very long time.

Wal-mart has a pretty good deal on a really good oil, Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 5 Quart, $11.34 per five qt jug, you have to buy two jugs.

The above deal died- sorry for the false alarm.

Wal-mart and amazon get into price wars on oil at times, might be computer generated.. can drop the price on motor oil quite a bit for a few hours.

Gosh that'* a lot of oil.

I counted around 600 quarts that I could figure out were in these pictures. At 6 quarts and 3,000 miles per change that'* 300,000 driving miles worth of oil there!

Oh, and to answer the original question: You win, I only have about 35 quarts stored.

I don't have a picture of it, but the closest I have come was buying like 20 quarts of the supertech Dexron VI ATF, as they were eliminating it from online stock as they were transitioning to that multi use low viscosity fluid. I should be set on ATF for a while at least...
