Autozones are wierd, I've been to a really bad one and then I found one where a few of the people were really nice and competent (I was shocked).

Yes, some people can be inconsiderate jerks. However, I believe that you took it back more for you than for him anyway. You're a better man for doing that, although I do understand your feelings of "why did I bother". You're to be congratulated for your integrity.

That would be dudette to you, sir. I have had many the "pleasure" of being ripped off as you say- However- I am better than that and won't lose my morals/integrity to get even. I treat people how I want them to treat me. Your 2 cents show what type of integrity you have. That is MY 2 cents.

I would have just said "your welcome" loud enough for him to hear, turned around and walk out. It would be just enough to get the guy to realize that you thought he was rude, but not enough to start a war.
