Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat'* throat vigorously.

Yet another reason not to have a cat.
Our 12 year old Cocker Spaniel takes his seizure meds and lately the cough and allergy pills with peanut butter. Just wrap the little pill in some PB, and it disappears off the end of your finger. No biting, no growling, no fighting.
Trimming his nails and fur however... sounds a lot more like a cat when it comes to doing that stuff. Takes both my dad and I to trim his nails or any of his fur. Big baby!
