So I've seen this for the last year and I still get messages...and how come the bar doesn't fill up? It just sits there gray as if my inbox is empty. Something I'm not getting here? You'd think I'd know this after 4 years

The bar doesn't work right, I think. But when it'* full, it'll delete the oldest message when you get a new one.

Works the same I believe. You can see what happens by deleting most or all your inbox/outbox posts. You'll see the percentage go down to another real number. It'* easier to just let the old stuff fall off, unless it'* your savebox stuff, I suppose.
