We got them as Cab'* as I mentioned and it was awful. The motors remained solid but everything around them fell apart. Tranny'*, TBI'*, Fuel Sending Units, charging systems and wiring, whole front suspension rebuilds. My friend decided to start going with getting the Senior Citizen trade-in'* at the auctions. The service vehicles just arent worth the trouble vs the cheap price off the auction block.

Oh wow, I just looked up a 2004 Chevrolet Impala SS, and I swear it has an L67!
I think this confirms it though http://autos.msn.com/research/compar...97377&v=t95809
Standard Engine 3.8L V6
Horsepower 240 @ 5200 RPM
Torque (lb-ft) 280 @ 3600 RPM
Valves/Valve Configuration 12/OHV
Displacement (cc) 3791

Shhhhhh...."They also came in a "UnderCover" Police package designated 9CE"
It came with a stiff suspension and a Factory "tuner" edition L67.

How bad is the insurance if I get a 2004 Impala SS? Because I think it would be awesome to take some of the Bonneville with me as I go to a different vehicle

Call a broker or get a quote on-line. There is way to many variables in insurance quotes to even take a SWAG at it.

This thread is going to far into the realm of masquerading as a police officer. As is some earlier threads. I am locking this thread, and want no more of it'* type of behavior discussed. If you want to be a Police Officer, than use your ambitions and time towards that end and stop wanting to pretend. And that is just what this and earlier threads allude to. Pretending to be things like a Policeman or Doctor are not sociably acceptable behavior and I wont allow it to discussed, promoted, or even jokingly play out. Thread Locked.
