2000 Nissan Maxima GLE automatic stock vs. mod (Y-pipe)
.702---------------------------.705
2.391--------------------------2.322
6.607--------------------------6.598
9.998--------------------------9.902
71.38mph---------------------72.74mph
13.105------------------------12.999
15.54--------------------------15.01
88.944mph--------------------92.004mph

I ran both times with no weight reduction and stock tire pressure (33/30) so I can get an idea of what I'd run in a streetlight combat. I also ran with a Frankencar/midpipe Intake combo but yielded slower results. I ran 15.3@89mph. For some reason, it felt as though my timing was pulled back or my A/F ratio went wacko above VI switchover (5,200rpms). I'm curious to see what I'd run with the transmission drop resistor mod but the Max was in an accident that totalled it. It basically runs full line pressure to the tranmission and it slams into each gear (actually healthy for the transmission and clutch packs, but hard on the axles ect..)The Factory TCU won't allow any full-line whatsoever so this mod has been proven to drop .2-.3 seconds in the 1/4mile. The Y-pipe is a 2.5" mandrel bent piping after the headers/exhaust manifold. The two pre-cats are removed as well as extra tubing and releases about 12-15fwhp (autos) to 15-17fwhp(manuals). The only downside (good for some people though) is the wonderful harmonics of the stock VQ30DE-K'* equal length exhaust is gone with an aftermarket Y-pipe so it sounds raspy with lumpy exhaust pulses.

What do you guys run and with what mods?

Read the sticky post at the top of Performance and Brainstorming. On the 1/4 page, the username links to their profile, you can view the sigs to see what their mods are.
