Very cool place, I'd love to visit the Hoover Dam one day.

As big as it is though, could you imagine a dam that generates more power than Hoover yet is only 1 of 8 generating plants on 1 river system? The LG2A plant generates 2,106 megawatts, LG3 puts out 2,418 megawatts and LG4 puts out 2,779 megawatts. The upstream the reservoir is 1,667 square miles in surface area. Even though LG2A is the 6th of 8 stations, the head is still 454 feet on La Grande Riviere (The Big River).

I'm not in the pic because Chad shoved me over the edge right before it was taken and some workers had to come get me because I was hanging from the side.
