My dad is the president of ours...

im not a member of one and never will be. the homeowners association around here annoys the hell out of me.

if i dont mow the yard EVERY WEEK they put fliers on my door every day until i do. and its always some man who comes and talks to nancy while im gone - explaining that we have to mow the yard. bs. if you want it mowed, mow it. otherwise, leave me alone. if youre trying to sell your house, let me know and my yard will be well-kept until you do. but if i dont go to your house and tell you i dont like the car you drive, dont come to my house and tell me you dont like my yard. or at least be man enough to do it when im here. dont wait until i leave and scream at my fiancee.

and they want to put a stop light in front of the neighborhood. we dont need one. traffic isnt bad and there are two stop lights within a mile of the house. its unnecessary and would severely disrupt the flow of traffic on the road with a 50mph speed limit.

we didnt join the homeowners association here, and theyre still a pain in my side. i hate them.

We have a condominium board, I was gonna run for election, but I didnt live here long enough to really understand the nuances of the building.

Thats all changed now, and I intend to run in the next election.

We have a condominium board next to the register at the drug store down the street, does that count??

Luckily we don't have a Homeowners Association in my neighborhood, but our neighborhood watch captain is nosey little whatchacallit.... She tries to act like she'* the association president or something. me and The Missus have both let her know how we feel about that a couple of times already
