Hmmm....comcast.

They really pulled a fast one this time. Literally.

They just DOUBLED my download speed

No extra cost. System upgrade.

Can you say 3mb per second?

Yup. Just tested it. They just did it, no signup or anything. Got the message in an email. Rebooted the cable modem, and it was faster.

I got Cable Modem Pro...but I had to pay for that ****..

Comcast really sucked when they took over AT&T cable here awhile back. Since then, they've really been trying hard to improve service.

Went up from 256 to 384. I can live with that. They say it'* capped, but I've acheived almost 500k/sec upload in the past.

384 is actually 38.4 K/sec upload speed.
