Default higher resolution

anyway to get a higher resolution out of my hp pavilion ze4315us?

it has the RADEON IGP 320M

i have seen quotes from others saying
Quote:
Another nice thing is the screen, which supports a resolution of 1400x1050
right now the most i can get out of it is 1024x768 with the current updated driver. running windows xp pro

Then you cannot. LCD'* have a a fixed resolution, and if you run it at anything other then it'* Native resolution it'll stretch it to fit. You cannot go above the native resolution either.

the 1400 screen is probably optional, and you don't have it.

you could also try lowering your amount of colors. See then if you can select the higher resolution.

It'* a hardware issue not software. You can't physcally make the screen display more then that resolution.

Just go back to red hat.. much better than windoze. Or go to something more linuxy.. something where you actually have to code . loL!

I disagree again. It'* not drivers or windows. Most linux distros start out with a very small DPI for fonts "out of the box". My friend has Debian on his dell 8200, and he was getting headaches, and didn't see how big his font was on AIM till he was next to me in class.
