higher resolution
anyway to get a higher resolution out of my hp pavilion ze4315us?
it has the RADEON IGP 320M
i have seen quotes from others saying
right now the most i can get out of it is 1024x768 with the current updated driver. running windows xp pro

Then you cannot. LCD'* have a a fixed resolution, and if you run it at anything other then it'* Native resolution it'll stretch it to fit. You cannot go above the native resolution either.

at one time, about a year ago, i had redhat 9 on here...and i do remember the res being higher, and i was like nice, windows sucks...but then i put windows back on a day later and put redhat on another machine. there has to be some sort of different driver but i cant find it
I disagree again. It'* not drivers or windows. Most linux distros start out with a very small DPI for fonts "out of the box". My friend has Debian on his dell 8200, and he was getting headaches, and didn't see how big his font was on AIM till he was next to me in class.
